This violation applies to anyone operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s licence. If you have been issued a licence, it expires and you do not renew it, you are still guilty of this offence.Upon conviction the penalties are:

  • $325 fine
  • A conviction on your driving record

This offence will stay on your driver’s abstract for 3 years and could significantly affect your insurance premiums.
